The Lands Between in Elden Ring holds many surprises, and one of them is collecting all the gestures. One of the interesting things to discover is the finger snap gesture. So today, let's discuss this in detail:
How to get the finger snap gesture?
Near the Mistwood ruins, you will occasionally hear the howling of a wolf somewhere. You will find him sitting at the top of the Mistwood ruins. You cannot do anything now, so the first step is to go to Merchant Kalé in the Church of Elleh. This is one of the very first locations of the site of grace that you wouldn't miss. This location is very memorable to me because it is near the Limgrave Tree Sentinel, who punished me when I was a newbie in Elden Ring. 😅😆
Talk with Merchant Kale and select the dialogue option 'Ask about the howling in Mistwood.' He will talk for a couple of lines, and then he will teach you the finger snap gesture. This is a casual greeting and the only way to call the mysterious guy sitting on top of the ruins.

Encounter with Blaidd
Once you have it, go back again to the Mistwood ruins and do the finger snap emote, and you will see him go down. You'll meet Blaidd for the first time, and he will tell you that he is looking for a man named "Darriwil." This opens up a side quest.
Defeat Bloodhound Knight Darriwil
After this, you go to the Forlorn Hound Evergaol and get ready to face an optional boss. The nearest site of grace for this evergaol is in the Agheel Lake South. Once you arrived. You have the option to summon Blaidd and fight the Bloodhound Knight Darriwil together. This guy isn't that tough, and his attacks are easy to read and memorize.
After a couple of blows and attacks, he will go down. And then you will receive a reward from Blaidd, which is a somber smithing stone that allows you to upgrade your weapon. Blaidd will also tell you to meet Iji. lakes.
Who is War Counselor Iji?
War Counselor Iji is one of the NPCs that you will meet when you explore the Liurnia of the Lakes region. Iji is located in the Road to the manor site of grace. He is one of Ranni's advisors and a smith to the Carian Manor royal family. At first, I didn't notice him because he looks like a statue of stone, but Iji offers some cool stuff, which are somber smithing stones [1-4], which are good for improving weapons.
Once you defeat Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, an item named 'Carian Filigreed Crest' will be available for purchase from Iji for 5,000 Runes. This is a talisman that lowers the FP cost consumed by skills and is a good item to use even on late game.
